New Home For Dorks

Yo. So after eight years (I think maybe it's more actually) of posting stuff on this Blogger blog, I finally got a website to move the Dorktown Podcast stuff over to: dorktownpodcast.com

This move includes Dorktown's monthy Podcast Rankings. Plus there will be more blog posts about stuff that relates to Dorktown and podcasting in general and we will be posting our other podcasts on the network (Flowing With Famous and The Perfect Pour) too.

We still we be posting the Dorktown's here first just because that's where the iTunes and Stitcher gets the feed from. But once we figure out how to move those without the world ending, that will be moved to.

So come check out the new home, nothing fancy, just dorkass stuff as usual.

Dorktown's Top Podcasts From September, 2012

What are the top podcasts Dorktown listened to and enjoyed during September 2012? Well the indie podcasts are becoming stronger and stronger and more interesting. Not a lot of change to this month's mainstream list. Let's have a look at them both.

In mainstream, the continuing storyline of "Emo Kev" gave Smodcast a big boost this month. But Ear Candy was able to hold it off as they are trying some new formatting and beginning to post two shows a week. WTF has fallen into a bit of a rut at the moment, it'll be interesting to see if it comes back on continues to slide.

Dorktown Lists: What Beer Should You Be Drinking For IPA Day?

Happy IPA Day to one and all. Indian Pale Ale's are Dorktown's favorite style of beer to drink (in a responsible manner, of course). So on this, the greatest beer holiday of the year, we'd like to share our current favorites, all Dorktown Podcast approved.

• General Sherman (Tioga-Sequoia). Yes TS gives us beer to drink on the podcast but we seriously love this one. Bells actually went and bought some on his own the other day.

Remotely Drunk - Dorktown #119

We just had a lot of fun with this one. Too much? Yes. Annoying sometimes? Yes. But good times. Dorktown's first ever guest, Aaron "The La Selva Beach Connection" comes back and gets rude with the gang. MEGACAST 1 - Dorktown episode 118

This one is a roller coaster, friends. Two Fresno podcasts do a mash-up with Dorktown to create a MEGACAST! So basically three podcasts try to do their podcasts at one time. Does it work? We're not sure ourselves so please give it a shot and let us know. We do know we were dicks (didn't mean to be it just seemed to happen) and loudmouthed most of the show - sure was fun.
